How to cook sambar - Easy Sambar Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup moong dhal
1/2 cup mysore dhal/red lentils
1 onion
7 clove garlic
1 potato
2 tomatoes
1 brinjal
1 carrot
1 slice pumpkin
Curry leaves
5 dry chilies
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tbsp curry powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
2 cardamom
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
Soak moong dhal & mysore dhal for 30 minutes. Cook the dhal. Add garlic, potato, tomatoes, brinjal, carrot, pumpkin. Then add turmeric and curry powder. Add coriander powder, pepper and cumin powder. Cook well and add salt. IN another pan, add ghee. First put mustard seed, then cinnamon stick, star anise and cardamom. Add onion, ginger paste, dry chilies, asafoetida powder and curry leave. Add the fried ingredients to the sambar. Lastly add coriander leaves. TADAAA......the delicious sambar is ready. Do try this and comment guys.
